As part of your studies at the Department of Social Work, Faculty of Arts, Charles University, it is also possible to study abroad.

Do you want to go on an internship abroad? Here you will find all the information you need on how to proceed and what to prepare for.

How to proceed when choosing an internship?

  1. Choosing a workplace

The first step is to contact the organization or institution where you want to do your internship. Obtain written confirmation from them that they agree to your internship and outline the tasks they will assign to you.

  1. Contact the department
    Contact our department with confirmation from the organization or institution. Submit information about your intention to complete the internship and provide the consent of the workplace, including the content of the internship.
  2. Selection procedure

This is followed by a selection procedure at the department. The main criteria are:

  • Language level – minimum B2
  • Motivation letter – demonstrate how the internship will contribute to your personal development in the field of social work. (Unlike a study abroad program, it is not necessary to submit a grade point average or CV.)
